I love butterflies I think they are stunningly beautiful, and so colourful and delicate. As a child I sent a lot of time visiting stately homes with the family, and often came across butterflies and moths pinned in display cabinets. As much as I loved the opportunity to observe these beautiful creatures up close, I couldnt help but feel sad hoping that their life wasnt extinguished for the purpose of display. 
So I had an idea!! What if I could recreate something similar but using acrylic paints, and this was the end creation. An opportunity to view beauty, free from knowing no butterflies where harmed during the creation of this piece.
