I cannot begin to tell you all how excited I am to be out and about again. I have dusted off my brand-new sign, and to celebrate my stall will be having a Spring Sale!
This is my first time at Lytham St Anne’s (Assembly Rooms, Dicconson Terrace, Lytham,
Lancashire FY8 5JY) and I’ll be there on Saturday the 22nd May 2021 11am-4pm, and back again at the same venue on the 6th June. This is a beautiful venue on the sea front, leading into the town centre so a perfect stop off after, or before a wonder around. I’m not sure what the weather will be like, but as we are inside it could be the perfect place to cool off or shelter from the rain.
It’s been over a year since I last did a craft fair and I have missed it. Yes, there is a lot of prep work to do and there can be early starts, setting up can be stressful, but I love it. I get see what other stall holders are creating, and always end up coming home with a selection of unique gifts for family and friends. It’s a great opportunity to do some networking, and also pick up some invaluable advice. I feel a sense of pride seeing all my work on display, and seeing the smiles on people’s faces as they approach my stall. Unfortunately, the smiles this time will be hidden behind masks, but I won’t let that dampen my excitement. I have hand sanitizers at the ready, my custom face mask and my card machine is all raring to go. The thing I love most about craft fairs is chatting to visitors about their love of art, or their pets, especially when they grab their phone and show me photographs of their furry family members. Nothing beats a face-to-face sale, and seeing a happy customer leave with a special gift or card for themselves or a loved one fills me with joy!
It’s always sad at the end of the day packing up but knowing that I will be back again soon helps, especially if I get to see the same faces returning. Plus after a hard day behind a stall is a great excuse to grab some fish and chips for tea!
Here’s hoping I see you all there
Love
Claire
