Last Call for 2025: A Memorable Experience
So that's a wrap! My last Drink and Draw event for 2025 was held at Poppywood Alpacas, and wow, it was so much fun. We got to hang out with the Alpaca pack up close and personal. Some Alpacas were really eager to get super close, which gave us a great opportunity to study them in detail. Everyone loved the experience and had the chance to really check out the texture of their fleece and the shape of their bodies, from head to toe. Taking time to really look at the subject you are drawing can significantly enhance the creative process.

The Challenge of Charcoal
The challenge I set was a tough one. I chose charcoal as the medium for this workshop. It’s a whole different ball game compared to using graphite. However, I like to offer attendees the chance to experiment with various drawing materials and techniques. The experience was messy, fun, and rewarding. I was thrilled with the pictures that the group created. I hope they were just as proud of their masterpieces as I was.

Reflecting on a Year of Drink and Draws
As I cleared away the materials from my last Drink and Draw event, I reflected on the journey of hosting these events. This was a new venture for me. My goal was to create engaging and enjoyable events where people could unwind and discover their drawing potential in inspiring and fun places. Although starting a unique event like this is challenging, the experience has been immensely rewarding.
Through these workshops, I've had the pleasure of connecting with amazing individuals and venues that believed in this concept. Your enthusiasm and support have meant the world to me, especially during these uncertain times. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
What's Brewing for the Future?
Ideas for Drink & Draw events in 2026 are already percolating! I'm hoping to continue hosting in-person workshops at various venues throughout the year. Additionally, I'm exploring the possibility of recording 30-minute drawing tutorials that you can enjoy with a cuppa in the comfort of your own home. These bite-sized sessions will provide a creative respite from your busy days.

Let's stay connected and continue our creative journey together. Remember, in the world of Drink and Draw, there's only one rule: Keep drawing!
Final Thoughts on Creativity
Creativity is a journey, not a destination. Each event has brought new lessons and experiences. I encourage everyone to embrace their creative side. Whether you are a seasoned artist or a beginner, there is always something new to learn.
In our fast-paced world, taking time to draw can be a wonderful escape. It allows us to express ourselves and connect with others. So, grab your sketchbook and let your imagination run wild.
Thank you once again for being part of this adventure. I look forward to seeing you at future events and sharing more creative moments together.
